Flash Gordon
Created by Alex Raymond in 1934, Flash Gordon follows a fearless athlete, Dale Arden, and Dr. Hans Zarkov into a colorful interplanetary battle against the tyrant Ming the Merciless. The comic strip inspired serials, animated adaptations, toys, and the beloved 1980 film starring Sam J. Jones and Max von Sydow. Queen’s soaring soundtrack and the movie’s vivid pulp style helped make Flash Gordon a cult science-fiction classic.
