American Classics was founded in 1994 by 3 brothers in Birmingham, Alabama as a retailer of licensed goods and apparel. Over the years, the business grew but found it challenging to source high-quality licensed apparel to fill their stores. American Classics signed it’s first licensing agreement in 1998 for 4 properties and began to develop the brand with the focus on quality apparel and unique original graphics. We built our roster around classic entertainment that everyone knows and loves.

Since 1998 American Classics has built a brand of licensed apparel with over 150 properties ranging from classic films like Jaws and Rocky to classic rock bands like The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. We are always looking to grow the license roster and continue to develop great graphics on the highest quality apparel for the most iconic Bands, Movies, TV Shows, and Icons in the world.

The same three brothers that started the company are still managing the day-to-day operations of the business. Over the years trends in apparel have changed and we have always strived to keep up with the market while still maintaining classic roots that helped form the company.
