Formed in Des Moines, Iowa, Stone Sour blended hard rock, alternative metal, and emotionally direct songwriting around Corey Taylor and guitarist Josh Rand. Their self-titled debut, Come What(ever) May, Audio Secrecy, and Hydrograd show a band comfortable moving between heavy grooves and big melodic choruses. “Bother,” “Through Glass,” and “30/30-150” remain signature tracks for fans of modern rock.
